Here is the Team Project for Production Operation Management :
Make up 3/4 students teams and turn back a typed report to the instructor.
Reports should be somewhere between 5 to 7 pages, not including a copy of the questionnaire.
Students will prepare a 10 to 15 question survey and interview an appropriate official at either 3 tourist class hotels or 3 tourist class restaurant. They will interview each official about their facility or organization does, or manages, any three or four of the following topics :
- Strategic Positioning -New Services development -Managing quality
-Organizing the Business -Yield Management -Successful Adoption & Diffusion of New Services
In the report, a list of questions that were asked to the official will be included along with the answers the official gave. There will also be a discussion about how the hotels & restaurants differ in their approaches and which you feel appears to be doing best.
You will also include a double paged report dealing with Service Operation Improvment at sky Lounge Restaurant.
Students will be asked to informally discuss their report with the class.
This Team Project will count for up to 20% of the total Grade.

Then, it will be on : - Monday 16, 23, 30 & 7/07 from 16.30 – 18.30

– Thursday 12, 19, 26, 3/07 from 16.30 – 18.30

French 1 is starting again this coming semester.
Classes will be held twice a week (monday, tuesday) with Aj. Steven.
It is a great opportunity to learn an european langage, worldwide spoken in the Hospitality Industry.
Registration for French classes will also provided, to the interested ones, the chance to go to France for their internship (Internship program in France).
You will learn about french basics but also french conversation & vocabulary usefull in the hospitality industry.

A van will be leaving from the campus to the french embassy around 8.30 am on Friday 23.
Every student going to France for Internship are required to come on that day.

It will be a written examination including many subjects studied in the class during summer 2 :
